Coastal Designer/EIT
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and design of coastal restoration projects including marsh restoration and beach nourishment;
- shoreline protection projects including revetments and breakwaters;
- navigation projects including dredging, marinas, and harbors.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and communication skills;
- Familiarity with wave growth and transformation, coastal and estuarine hydrodynamics, littoral processes, sediment transport, marine dredging, and basic geotechnical or structural systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field;
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software;
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task.
