Coaching Positions - High School North 2026-2027 School Year

Qualifications

• Minimum Certification requirement: Substitute Teacher
• Coaching Experience:
  • Head Coach Positions: At least 5 years of successful coaching experience in the sport required.
  • Assistant Coach Positions: Successful coaching experience preferred.
• Employment in District: Full-time teaching assignment in Middletown Township Public Schools preferred.
• Sports Management: Ability to proactively manage student academic and behavioral support, scheduling, budgeting, equipment and materials.
• Sports Knowledge: Proficiency in the technical aspects of the sport being coached, including the latest training and conditioning techniques to ensure the safety of the student athlete.
• Post-Secondary Sports Knowledge: Firm understanding of the process of preparing high school student athletes for college level competition. Ability to assist in college searches and provide recommendations for the qualified student athletes.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
