Qualifications
- Minimum certification requirement: Substitute Teacher
- Coaching Experience
- Head Coach Positions: At least 5 years of successful coaching experience in the sport required
- Assistant Coach Positions: Successful coaching experience preferred
- Employment in District: Full-time teaching assignment in Middletown Township Public Schools preferred
Skills
- Sports Management: Ability to proactively manage student academic and behavioral support, scheduling, budgeting, equipment and materials
- Sports Knowledge: Proficiency in the technical aspects of the sport being coached, including the latest training and conditioning techniques to ensure the safety of the student athlete
- Post-Secondary Sports Knowledge: Firm understanding of the process of preparing high school student athletes for college level competition
- Ability to assist in college searches and provide recommendations for the qualified student athletes
