About the Role

At Alpha, students don't sit through traditional lectures. Instead, they master academics using adaptive technology while Guides provide coaching, motivation, accountability, and life skills development. As a Lead Guide, you'll assemble and develop the team that makes this approach successful—coaching Guides, cultivating leaders, and fostering an environment where students routinely surpass expectations.

What You Will Be Doing

• Coaching Guides to reliably deliver outstanding student experiences while upholding Alpha's rigorous standards.
• Facilitating compelling life skills workshops that build communication, leadership, concentration, and other practical competencies for K-12 students.
• Inspiring students to pursue ambitious learning objectives and maximize advancement in their self-directed academic programs.
• Leveraging data, observation, and coaching dialogue to enhance Guide effectiveness and student results.
• Supporting the launch and establishment of new Alpha campuses by cultivating a culture rooted in excellence, accountability, and continuous growth.

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Teaching conventional academic classes or presenting subject-specific lectures.
• Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum materials.
• Reducing standards to create artificial feelings of success rather than supporting students toward genuine mastery.
• Leading a team remotely from an office without direct, regular coaching of students and Guides.
• Maintaining outdated methods simply because "that's the way it's always been done."

Basic Requirements

• Willingness to work on-site at an Alpha campus (relocation assistance available): Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Miami Beach, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Orange County, CA; Santa Barbara, CABachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or a related leadership capacity.
• Experience leading and developing teams of five or more individuals.
• Proven success utilizing data to drive performance enhancements.
• Experience working with children ages 5-14 in an educational, coaching, or developmental context.
• Experience establishing or launching a new team, program, business, school, or initiative.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Experience coaching youth through athletics, debate, camps, or extracurricular activities.
• Outstanding public speaking and storytelling abilities.
• A history of attaining high levels of academic, professional, or athletic achievement.
