Coach (Prop 28): Visual Designer for Marching Band - Independencr High School

About the Role

The East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) seeks a skilled and passionate visual designer to contribute to one or more of the district's high school Marching Band and/or Winter Season programs. Throughout the production, the designer will work alongside the credentialed teacher at a District high school, supporting students of varying skill levels. This role includes design, rehearsal preparation, instruction, and performance support at one or more school sites, contributing to a high-quality production for a diverse student body.

Responsibilities

• Design the visual presentation for the season-specific production.
• Attend and assist the director at rehearsals as scheduled.
• Attend performances as scheduled with the director.
• Stay informed about the director's goals and agendas, including timelines and deadlines for materials to be produced and/or learned by the students.
• Foster student creativity, discipline, and teamwork in a culturally responsive and inclusive environment.

This is a seasonal role tied to a specific season or production (Marching Band: one season/production; Winter Percussion/Winter Guard: one season/production).

Requirements

• Experience designing visual representations related to Marching Band, Winter Guard, and Winter Percussion.
• Experience teaching high school-aged students.
• Experience teaching small and large group instruction.
• Must complete an Edjoin online application and submit a resume and letters of recommendation/reference.
• Selected candidates must pass fingerprint clearance and provide current TB test results prior to employment.
