About the Role

Promote sportsmanship and foster good character in student-athletes. Provide for the safety and welfare of all participants. Supervise students in practice areas, locker rooms, busses, and at all times during the season. Exercise patience, tolerance, and diplomacy in relations with all players, parents, co-workers, contest officials, and spectators. Interscholastic activities are an extension of the classroom, and your actions, behavior, and interactions with student-athletes should reflect this.

Requirements

  • NFHS Sportsmanship Certificate (at employee's expense) – Sportsmanship Course
  • NFHS Concussion certificate – Concussion in Sports Course
  • ATC Student-Athlete Health & Wellness certificate (must review PowerPoint and sign a document affirming PowerPoint has been reviewed) – Act on Facts Suicide Prevention Training OR NFHS Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention certificate – Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Course
  • Current CPR w/AED (online classes are not accepted; EMT license supersedes this requirement)
  • Current First Aid (online classes are not accepted; EMT license supersedes this requirement)
  • Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Must be available to work on Saturdays as needed

Requirements Prior to Start Date

  • Bloodborne pathogen training after hire by TUSD Risk Management Department
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

Schedule

Season Dates: March 2027 – May 2027. This is a temporary position for the 2026-2027 school year, not eligible for district benefits. Stipend is prorated for days missed in the sports season due to late starts or early terminations.

Location: Borman K-8 (DMAFB). One (1) position available for Girls.
