About the role
The Middle School Cheerleading Coach will be responsible for leading and motivating cheerleaders, ensuring safety, and fostering a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cheerleading routines that align with school values and objectives
- Ensure all participants adhere to safety guidelines and rules
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members
- Participate in team building activities and events
- Attend meetings and trainings as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Florida Educator's Certificate in any subject (non-competitive teams may not require this)
- First aid training concepts, injury prevention, CPR
- Willingness to work before and after school hours
Qualifications
- Must complete Hernando County School District's required 20 hour Sports First Aid course through Human Kinetics
- Must hold a valid first aid certification
Benefits
Paid in accordance with the Differentiated Pay for Additional Duty/Supplemental Salary Schedule in the Hernando County Teachers' Association (HCTA) Contract.
