About the role

The Middle School Cheerleading Coach will be responsible for leading and motivating cheerleaders, ensuring safety, and fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cheerleading routines that align with school values and objectives
• Ensure all participants adhere to safety guidelines and rules
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members
• Participate in team building activities and events
• Attend meetings and trainings as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Florida Educator's Certificate in any subject (non-competitive teams may not require this)
• First aid training concepts, injury prevention, CPR
• Willingness to work before and after school hours

Qualifications

• Must complete Hernando County School District's required 20 hour Sports First Aid course through Human Kinetics
• Must hold a valid first aid certification

Benefits

Paid in accordance with the Differentiated Pay for Additional Duty/Supplemental Salary Schedule in the Hernando County Teachers' Association (HCTA) Contract.
