Coach -Elementary (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)
Minimum Requirements
- NFHS Concussion certificate or NFHS Sportsmanship Certificate
- Sportsmanship Course
- Concussion in Sports Course
- Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention certificate or Suicide Prevention Training
- CPR with AED certification
- First Aid certification
- AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Bloodborne pathogen training after hire by TUSD Risk Management Department
- MMR immunization or proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles)
Requirements
Requires prior approval from the Risk Management Department for bloodborne pathogen training.

Schedule
K-2: 1 hour AM, 1 hour PM
3rd-5th: 2 hours AM, 1 hour PM
No practice on Wednesdays

Responsibilities
Provide for the safety and welfare of all participants.
Supervise students in practice areas, locker rooms, busses, and at all times during the season.
Exercise patience, tolerance, and diplomacy in relations with all players, parents, co-workers, contest officials, and spectators.
Interscholastic activities are an extension of the classroom and as such, your actions, behavior, and interactions with our student-athletes should be reflective of this.
