SUMMARY

Aid the Head Coach in developing athletic programs by teaching and supervising student athletes. Ensure adherence to CHSAA and Poudre School District guidelines.

JOB TASKS

  • Assist with practice sessions and games
  • Supervise student athletes before, during, and after events
  • Maintain and secure equipment and supplies
  • Communicate with athletes and parents about schedules, expectations, and safety
  • Report incidents and communicate discipline procedures
  • Follow district guidelines for facility use and access
  • Attend work and arrive promptly

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous coaching experience in the sport preferred
  • Criminal background check required for hire
  • Valid Teaching License or Special Services License from Colorado Department of Education OR valid CHSSA Coach Certification
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required before coaching
  • Complete required trainings upon hire: Concussion, Blood Borne Pathogens, Child Abuse and Reporting, and Sexual Harassment

RATE OF PAY

The pay for this position is determined by the Athletic Coaching Stipend Schedule based on paid years of experience up to 5 years. Salary stipend ranges are as follows:

  • External coaches: $290 - $7,032 per season
  • Internal coaches: $290 - $8,143 per season (Internal coach is defined as any employee with a schedule contract percentage or hourly assignment for the current school year. Internal assignments do not include substitute, seasonal, and varied hours assignments.)
