Description

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join their IT Marketing and Sales, Data Driven Customer Insights team at their Ridgefield, CT facility. The Intern will collaborate with a skilled team to develop, test, and deploy AI solutions that enhance efficiency and innovation within the company.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Learn to work on Boehringer's existing GenAI and Agentic AI infrastructure to implement new projects
  • Interact with business stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate those into technical requirements
  • Develop quick Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and test to validate new ideas and project requirements
  • Study recent advancements in GenAI and propose ideas to improve existing systems or address new requirements
  • Present findings to stakeholders including IT and Business representatives

Requirements

  • Must be a current undergraduate, graduate, or advanced degree student in good academic standing
  • Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for the duration of the internship/co-op
  • Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred
  • Major or minor in related field of internship/co-op
  • Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university
  • Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field
  • Good understanding of topics such as LLM, Knowledge Graph, RAG, GraphRAG, and Agentic AI
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries such as LangChain, LangGraph, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Understanding of machine learning and deep learning techniques is a plus
  • Prior experience in AWS or other enterprise software development environment is desired
