Co-op, Global Sales Development (Spring 2027)

Corporate Sales Development is responsible for the development and management of corporate sales incentive programs and strategies designed to maximize revenue and market share performance for corporate accounts. This co-op opportunity is based at our General Offices (GO) and functions as a back-office support role. In this position, you will support the department by partnering closely with our analysts, field partners, and other commercial departments.
As a Sales Development Co-Op, you will act as an internal consultant within the department, leading semester-long projects that support divisional strategies and business objectives. These initiatives often involve cross-functional collaboration to identify opportunities, improve processes, and deliver solutions that drive efficiency. Co-ops apply strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills to perform tasks such as:
- Perform data analysis and collection
- Identify and recommend process improvements and efficiencies
- Resolve project-related issues and complexities
These projects are often complex and may involve exposure to sensitive or confidential information and present moderate financial risk. The final project deliverable is a capstone presentation given to division leaders highlighting project lessons learned, impacts made, and recommendations going forward.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be enrolled full-time in a bachelor's degree program
- Available to work full-time for three alternating semesters: Spring 2027, Fall 2027, and Summer 2028
- Must be able to work onsite in Atlanta, GA for the duration of the Co-op
- The co-op is expected to work in office 4 days per week
- At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale
- A strong team player, detail oriented, and perform well under pressure
- Conveys professional image to all levels of associates
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Must be willing to travel as required
- Participating in the Co-op program does not guarantee a full-time opportunity at Delta Air Lines upon graduation
- This position is intended to provide educational and professional work experience to prepare the student for the workforce
- Cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op/Intern at the same time, which may delay graduation by 1-2 semesters

- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred majors in Business, Economics, Finance, or related fields
- Strong written and verbal communication skills highly preferred
- Possess business skills such as business modeling, project management, or competitive analysis
- Working knowledge of Tableau or similar business intelligence tools
- Working knowledge of SalesForce or other CRM tools
