About the role

AWARE is looking for a PACT Co-occurring Specialist to provide high-quality care to individuals in the community. This role focuses on supporting adults, children, and families in achieving personal growth and becoming active members of their community. Responsibilities

  • Counsel clients one-on-one to assist with mental health and addiction issues.
  • Interview clients, review records, and confer with professionals to evaluate mental conditions.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, directors, staff physicians, and other professionals to plan and coordinate treatment based on individual needs and strengths.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress toward treatment goals.
  • Refer clients and family members to community resources and follow up to ensure service efficacy.
  • Provide clinical assistance to other staff as needed.
  • Spend time with clients and families to assist in problem-solving as outlined in treatment plans.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and report behavioral/emotional observations to modify treatment plans.
  • Utilize H.E.L.P. (including therapeutic holds) when a client is a danger to self or others; perform basic First Aid and/or CPR as needed.
  • Attend mandatory training, in-services, staff meetings, and corporate committees.
  • Conduct treatment team meetings with clients and caregivers to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Demonstrate consistent ability to meet program outcomes and fiscal goals, including billing and caseload maintenance.
  • Develop a crisis plan with clients and caregivers, including 24/7 direct and telephonic response options.
  • Accurately record client data using AWARE’s Electronic Medical Records System.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (MS, MA, PhD) in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • One (1) year of direct work experience and a current LCPC or LCSW License.
  • Must maintain professional licensure/certification as required by state and federal governing boards.
  • Demonstrate or earn 4 Continuing Education Units in co-occurring therapy.
  • Valid Montana Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Acceptable criminal and protective services background check.

Skills

  • Psychology: Knowledge of human behavior, individual differences, psychological research methods, and assessment/treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
  • Therapy and Counseling: Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of mental dysfunctions.
  • Customer and Personal Service: Knowledge of principles for providing high-quality customer and personal services, including needs assessment and satisfaction evaluation.

Pay

AWARE Co-occurring Specialists earn $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year.
