About the Role
The Co-Occurring Programs Supervisor oversees the co-occurring outpatient programs, supervises program staff, conducts therapeutic assessments, facilitates group sessions, and provides individual support. The role involves developing new initiatives, expanding community awareness, and building relationships with referral sources to promote program growth.
Responsibilities
- Cultural Competence and Diversity
- Collaborate with staff, members, and the community to gain diverse perspectives.
- Increase own cultural competency through trainings, events, and discussions to address biases.
- Implement culturally responsive practices in service delivery.
- Mentor staff on cultural sensitivity to support members from diverse backgrounds.
- Review and update program materials to ensure cultural inclusivity.
- Engage with community organizations to address cultural needs.
- Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with leadership to implement and refine growth strategies for IOP/OP services.
- Support development of comprehensive curricula aligned with best practices.
- Design and implement marketing and community outreach initiatives.
- Develop strategic partnerships with referral sources and healthcare providers.
- Analyze program performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead strategic planning sessions with stakeholders.
- Innovate new service offerings based on community needs and trends.
- Team Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day operations of Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient Programs (IOP/OP).
- Supervise program staff and students, including conducting supervision meetings and providing feedback.
- Lead recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new staff.
- Foster a collaborative team environment.
- Manage crisis situations and coordinate with emergency services.
- Ensure smooth transitions between levels of care.
- Lead weekly team meetings and monthly consultations with a consulting physician.
- Organize training and professional development workshops for staff.
- Program Development
- Participate in community committees to enhance program offerings.
- Identify new program opportunities, such as telehealth services.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices.
- Represent the organization at community events and conferences.
- Develop and implement marketing and outreach initiatives.
- Utilize data-driven insights for program expansion.
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration for new services.
- Compliance and Standards
- Ensure the program meets all licensure, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop systems for tracking compliance-related tasks.
- Conduct internal audits of charts, reports, and client records.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to improve compliance processes.
- Provide training to staff on regulations and ethical practices.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and accreditation standards.
- Community Engagement
- Promote program services using evidence-based practices.
- Establish strategic partnerships with stakeholders.
- Work with the TN Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services to meet contractual requirements.
- Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to the organization.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Financial Oversight
- Develop, manage, and monitor the program budget.
- Analyze financial reports to identify trends and cost optimization opportunities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Collaborate with finance teams to meet regulatory and funding requirements.
- Prepare outcomes for PM&F monthly meetings.
- Other Duties
- Attend management meetings and staff trainings.
- Adhere to agency policies and complete required training.
- Provide constructive feedback and mentor staff.
- Prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate active listening, empathy, and effective communication.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a mental health/related field required.
- LPC-MHSP, LCSW, or LADAC license preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a substance recovery setting.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with program or project administration preferred.
Working Conditions
