Responsibilities
- Serves as a key member of the clinical operations team providing direct patient care and assessments.
- Performs geriatric assessments, medical histories, physical exams, and tests to determine endocrine gland related issues.
- Analyzes lab results and patient presentations to arrive at conclusive diagnoses.
- Interprets diagnostic testing and provides clinical advice for managing diseases and conditions.
- Develops and assigns treatment plans, monitors progress, and follows up with patients and PCPs.
- Advises on surgery and outside therapy as needed, and collaborates with other specialists.
- Writes and renews prescriptions, keeps up-to-date with latest treatments, and updates staff on patient progress.
Requirements
- Licensed/Board Certified/Board Eligible in a specialty such as urology, otolaryngology, orthopedics, pain management, dermatology, or wound care.
- Rigorous medical training and broad knowledge of various conditions related to specialty.
- Able to operate equipment related to specialty, such as ultrasound and EKG.
- Professional bedside manner and ability to explain medical conditions clearly to patients.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with other caregivers, including PCPs.
- Knowledge of pharmacological agents and proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time and fluency in English.
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited school and license to practice in state required.
- Board certification in specialty preferred.
- Current DEA and DPS Certificate.
- Minimum two (2) years of direct work or intern experience.
