About the role
The Innovation Co-Lab within Duke University's Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking a Co-Lab Professional Fabrication & Design Specialist to lead the Bluesmith and DesignHub professional fabrication services.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of Bluesmith and DesignHub
- Manage fabrication equipment, inventory, and service delivery
- Design and deliver workshops and training
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and researchers
- Mentor and supervise student employees
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a creative field or equivalent experience
- Experience creating 3D models using CAD software
- Experience with additive manufacturing technologies
- Demonstrated experience managing fabrication workflows
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
