CNC & Tool and Die Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift
Job Summary
Working with supervision, ensures the maintenance, setup, and preventative care of CNC machinery and precision equipment, including but not limited to tube mills, fin presses, form rolling machines, benders, and the embossing mill. Uptime and reliability are the two main goals of day-to-day activities. Troubleshooting mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. Communicate and over-communicate all issues, ideas, and improvements to all team members. Execute and comply with all safety standards required by Evapco. Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing work orders following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, is required.
- Minimum of three years of experience in performing maintenance of CNC machines.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Thorough understanding of electrical theory, application, and troubleshooting.
- Thorough understanding of machine shop equipment.
- Thorough understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Basic welding experience is preferred.
- Use, read, and comprehend a tape measure to within 1/32”, is required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish), is preferred.
Essential Functions
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Limits sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examine form and texture of parts.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Participate in team and shop business problem-solving activities that include quality, safety, scrap reduction, and process improvements.
- Attend related training courses as scheduled.
- Follow all related written and oral work instructions.
Typical Working Conditions
- Industrial setting (i.e. factory, outdoor)
- Temperature Extremes, in general, from 20° F. to 110° F.
- Requires very good agility (i.e. bending, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, squatting, twisting, and lifting)
- Normal work week Monday through Friday, Saturday work likely, some Sunday work
- May be required to work swing or graveyard shift, when business needs dictate

Pay Range
$67,167 - $89,581 per year
