CNC Team Lead

Essential Function

As a CNC Machining Team Lead, you’ll combine technical expertise with leadership skills to guide a team of machinists across all levels. You’ll oversee daily operations, ensure production goals are met, and foster a collaborative environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You’ll also serve as the primary liaison between your team and engineering, quality, and management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required
• 6 years of experience operating a CNC machine, operating machinery, or manufacturing/production technical support with 1 year of leadership experience (1 year of Silfex experience preferred)
• Must have machine control experience
• Understanding of input tool geometry
• Ability to troubleshoot on an intermediate level
• Knowledge of 5S and Lean manufacturing concepts
• Capable of applying and teaching standard practices and techniques within their work
• Attention to detail is required
• Must be fluent in G&M code
• Must possess basic proficiency in operating computers, including navigating software and web-based platforms
• Must have strong math skills, particularly trigonometry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
