CNC Setup & Operate All Shifts

About the role

Comply with all plant safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Understand and have experience in setting-up and operating of CNC horizontal and vertical mills including axis assignment/basic program interpretation and editing.
• Select applicable Fixturing required. Load Fixturing.
• Perform limited in-process inspections with assigned gaging.
• Determine the correct print for each part. Read and understand the dimensions and tolerances stated therein.
• Perform limited in-process inspections with assigned gauging.
• Using the work instruction & print provided adjust the tooling diameters and depth's to keep the parts within print.
• Follow all ISO procedures.
• Perform all tooling changes and touch-offs as required - including Drills/End mills/Reamers.
• Determine the condition of running tools and perform minor qualified tooling changes such as indexable inserts on both CNC lathes and CNC VMCs.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance assignments as required - no instruction.
• Complete accurate and thorough daily quality and production documents.
• Implement and maintain 5S for assigned areas.

Qualifications

• In order to be considered, applicant must be able to demonstrate skills listed on the training matrix.

Skills

• Understanding of CNC set-up and operation.
• Experience with Fixturing selection and loading.
• Ability to perform in-process inspections and read prints.
• Knowledge of ISO procedures.
• Tooling change and touch-off capability.
• Preventative maintenance skills.
• Able to complete quality and production documentation.
• 5S implementation and maintenance skills.

Pay

D-4 Job Rate = $21.47 – $22.43
D-5: Job Rate = $22.24 – $23.35
D-7: Job Rate = $25.57 - $26.44
D-8: Job Rate = $26.91 - $27.81
