CNC Set-Up Technician

Job Details

The ideal candidate will have: a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred, minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC Set-Up, proficiency in SolidWorks, 5 axis, Mill, Lathe, CNC Set-Up, experience with Programming is preferred, proven track record of successful process optimization and implementation, strong knowledge of process engineering software systems, excellent technical skills, including the ability to implement new systems and processes and to oversee teams and projects, strong analytical thinker with problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment, knowledge of process-related standards and experience in process simulations, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Developing, configuring, and optimizing industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification.
• Assessing processes, taking measurements and interpreting data.
• Designing, running, testing, and upgrading systems and processes.
• Developing best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
• Performing process simulations and troubleshooting issues.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to maintain equipment and systems to improve processes and minimize the cost of manufacturing.
• Working with design software and equipment to create and test prototypes for new product lines.
• Overseeing operational processes, making sure that they stick to both internal and external regulations.
• Ensuring that all safety protocols and guidelines are followed to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC Set-Up
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, 5 axis, Mill, Lathe, CNC Set-Up. Experience with Programming is preferred
• Proven track record of successful process optimization and implementation
• Strong knowledge of process engineering software systems
• Excellent technical skills, including the ability to implement new systems and processes and to oversee teams and projects
• Strong analytical thinker with problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of process-related standards and experience in process simulations, troubleshooting, and optimization
