Job Duties
- Set up CNC machines, including installing tooling, fixtures, and materials for production.
- Operate CNC production equipment to meet customer orders and production goals.
- Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, material specifications, drawings, surface locations, and machining parameters; interpreting dimensions and tolerances.
- Adjust machine offsets, speeds, and feeds to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and make minor adjustments to maintain production flow.
- Maintain production equipment to meet customer requirements.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Skills and Knowledge
- Basic math
- Blueprint reading
- Basic knowledge of G and M codes.
- Utilize various measuring gages.
- Attention to detail and communication skills, oral and written.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 2 years experience as a CNC machine operator is required.
Pay
Local Pay Range: $20 - $27 USD
