CNC Screw Machinist/Setup Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up one or more CNC-controlled Swiss turning centers.
• Interpret blueprints, CNC programs, and engineering instructions to produce precision parts to specification.
• Maintain required dimensions, troubleshoot parts, and adjust programs and offsets as needed.
• Identify and adjust tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Learn or operate Brown and Sharpe cam-driven machines.
• Support high production standards and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete all training requirements and adhere to ISO/AS9100 compliance procedures.

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in production machinery or 3+ years in CNC setup.
• Extensive understanding of Swiss machine maintenance and operation.
• Proven experience using gauges and calipers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong basic math skills essential for calculations and measurements.
• Proactive approach to troubleshooting and process optimization.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
