CNC Machinist Setup Operator

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret process plans and blueprints to determine necessary machining, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.
• Edit and troubleshoot programs for process improvements.
• Utilize various types of inspection instruments to check work per print.
• Complete necessary job-related paperwork to include part identification, inspection documents, and production log.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance: proper coolant levels, filters, fan operation, cleans machine, etc.

Requirements

• Certified Training - ISO 9001 & AS9100
• Certified Training - ASME Y14.5 GD&T Standards
• 5 years of setup and operating Horizontal Machining Centers
• 5 years of precision CNC machining experience with Fanuc Controls
• Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift (8 hours).
• Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
• Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycle work.
• Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Strong work ethic: willing to work overtime to meet tight deadlines as needed.
• Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures (safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc.).
• Due to ITAR regulations, only U.S. persons—defined as U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders), and U.S. nationals—are eligible for this position.

Pay

$27 - $35/hr (final rate is dependent on experience)
