Overall

A CNC Machinist/Setup Operator plays a key role in producing high-precision parts by ensuring CNC machines are correctly configured, operating efficiently, and consistently producing components that meet exact specifications.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate and setup advanced CNC machines
  • Use precision measuring tools and read blueprints
  • Troubleshoot CNC machines to maintain consistent production
  • Inspect finished parts
  • Perform basic programming adjustments (modify offsets, edit G-code, verify accuracy through test runs)

Experience

  • Technical or vocational training in machining
  • 1–5 years of CNC machining or setup experience (not required but a plus)
  • Familiarity with precision measuring equipment

Working Environment

  • This position requires the use of wearing safety equipment at all times while on the production floor.
  • This position operates in a standing position for 75% of the time.
  • May need to lift or move objects up to 40 lbs., frequently operates manual machinery and computers, and may need to make adjustments to parts of machinery, including bending, stooping, reaching or crouching.
