Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and daily maintenance of equipment including robot welding, CNC HMC machines, SPMs, and assembly machines with limited guidance.
- Maintain knowledge of these machines to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion.
- Safely, professionally, and efficiently complete machine repairs and rebuilds per line-up and document work.
- Support and participate in continuous improvement functions on plant equipment and processes to improve overall plant OEE.
- Demonstrate a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Background and skill set in troubleshooting CNC HMC Mills (Makino/Moriseiki), robot welding, press assembly, compressors, hydraulics, and facility general equipment.
- Completion of an industrial maintenance mechanical hydraulic course or relevant experience.
- Ability to stand for long periods on the shop floor.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Ability to train, assist, lead, direct, instruct, and discipline employees.
- Firm understanding of safety regulations including MIOSHA and government standards.
- Ability to work at a computer workstation using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong sense of time management and urgency.
- Familiarity with government regulations for industry and safe work practices dealing with machine repair.
- Familiarity with complex machinery, electrical circuits, and plant operating equipment.
- Understanding of major components of CNC machines, welding robots, and their function (sensors, PLC, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including 1st or 2nd shift.
- Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and ability to perform tasks safely.
- Skills in interpersonal relations and written and oral communications.
