POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for performing a wide range of duties to program, setup, operate, and maintain on-site CNC equipment. The ideal candidate will also have a solid foundation in toolmaking using manual lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and band saws. These duties will be carried out with the highest level of detail and quality to achieve AMTEC's production requirements and business goals while upholding the company's core values of providing reliable products to our warfighters.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to program, setup, operate, and maintain numerous CNC machines.
- Experience with Mastercam software for programming of CNC mills, lathes, and multi-task equipment.
- Ability to understand G & M codes, Mazatrol programming, blueprint reading, and GD&T.
- Must have Integrex i Series experience.
- Ability to determine machining sequence and methodology.
- Must be able to identify and procure the appropriate cutting tools needed to perform necessary CNC machining functions.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test/prove-out programming, and make adjustments.
- Establish inspections and monitoring of key dimensions through the use of CNC controls as well as end-item measurements with standard measuring equipment and gaging.
- Perform Machinist/Toolmaker duties and responsibilities.
- Strong leadership qualities and professionalism. Must be able to train operators to run programs and maintain product quality.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Perform all other duties that may be assigned or needed.
OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Requires a high school diploma/GED and minimum 5 years CNC programming experience. Associate's degree in related field preferred along with experience.
- Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain BATFE (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives) approval.
