Who is Zenix Aerospace Ketema?
Zenix Aerospace Ketema is a leading provider of components for aircraft and turbine engine builders, as well as precision products for space, marine and ground-based applications. Zenix Aerospace Ketema specializes in producing complex fabrications and machined components from titanium and nickel alloys.
What Does the Job Involve?
Plans, writes and revises programs computer machinery numerical control to control contour-path machining of parts on automatic control machines. Designs, codes, tests and debugs moderately complex programs. Provides detailed specifications which programs are written. Maintains cutter/tool system, including tool libraries, and tool life tracking.
What Will My Responsibilities Include?
- Programs system of automatic controlled machines (computer numerical control (CNC) machines) in Siemens NX CAM software for machining various parts.
- CNC Machines may include but are not limited to, machining tools such as lathes, multi-axis spindles and milling machines.
- Applies knowledge of the working properties of materials with CNC programming knowledge to design and carry out the operations needed to make machined products and parts that meet precise specifications per customer and blueprint.
- Analyzes and interprets drawings, sketches, blueprints and design data of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools and machine speeds and feed rates according to knowledge of machine shop processes, part specifications and machine capabilities.
- Determines reference points and direction of machine cutting paths. Computes angular and linear dimensions, radii and curvatures and outlines sequence of operation required to machine specified part.
- Use Vericut to review programs for crash errors prior to use in production.
- Application of Macro B variables in machine control / programming language.
- Writes and documents instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide setup and operation of machine.
- Writes program of machine instructions to regulate movement of machine along cutting path.
- Revises programs as needed to eliminate instruction errors or omissions.
- Observes operation of machine on trial run to prove programmed instruction.
- Analyzes and revises system logic.
- Prepares and maintains program documentation.

Qualifications
- High school education/GED required or equivalent experience and education.
- Experience 5+ years of manufacturing programming experience.
- Machine operation experience and computer aided manufacturing a plus.
