CNC Programmer -1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Writes and/or modifies CNC programs and instruction sheets for multi-axis machined parts
• Maintains program files
• Provides ongoing support for machining processes
• Affords setup and operation of machine on trial run (prove-out) to verify accuracy of machine setting or programmed data
• Communicates effectively with the manufacturing engineers, quality personnel, plant personnel, and individuals outside the company
• Continually programs part families
• Completes all other work-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CAD/CAM programming
• Experience as a level 3 machinist
• Working knowledge of Gibbs, Esprit, and SolidWorks
• Proficiency in computer skills and electronic data management (word, excel, network file structure)
• Working knowledge of cutting tool geometry, as well as speeds and feeds for types of materials used
• Working knowledge of trigonometry and mathematical formulas needed to calculate machining processes
• Working knowledge of blueprint reading
• Working knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerance (GD&T)
• High school diploma or equivalent degree (GED) required
• Able to interact with various types of individuals: operators, machinists, technical support, and management
• Experience with Esprit programming software
• Experience with Solid Works software

Pay

Pay Range: USD $25.14 - USD $45.00 /Hr.
