Position Summary
Responsible for operating and setting up CNC machines.
Responsibilities
- Capable of running CNC Mill or Lathe production jobs with training/guidance.
- Able to complete full set up of CNC machine.
- Able to use basic inspection equipment (Micrometers, Calipers, Drop Gauges, VMM programs, etc).
- Able to follow numbered IMS (Inspection Method Sheet) blueprint.
- Able to make basic offset adjustments with direction from more experienced operator.
- Able to change out basic tools (inserts, drills, etc) and be able to touch them off.
- Able to fill out work orders, IMS sheets and any other corresponding paperwork, as well as log jobs in and out on the computer.
- Communicate with others on work order status and completion of work.
- Must work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum 2-3 years experience using CNC machines
- Ability to read, evaluate and work from engineering drawings
- Excellent decision making and problem solving skills
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Must understand/apply shop math (decimals, fractions, etc)
- Must have basic mechanical aptitude
