Responsibilities

  • Operates automated machines like CNC or other equipment to manufacture company products.
  • Sets up complex, customized production equipment to ensure efficient and cost-effective production.
  • Follows established procedures for operating various CNC and conventional manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, turning, milling, and stamping.
  • Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing.
  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as mill-turns, mills, lathes, or grinders.
  • Aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.
  • Reads and sets up blueprints to ensure work meets quality control standards.
  • Moves materials as needed to complete assignments.
  • Inspects machined products using precision gages to ensure they meet external and internal quality specifications.
  • May operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously.
  • Performs basic level programming and modifies G code programs as needed.
  • Handles basic or standard CNC complexity and troubleshoots issues related to production, machinery, processing, and packaging operations.

Requirements

  • High School Degree
  • 1-3 years experience in machine operation
  • Automated/CNC work experience required

Qualifications

  • Basic troubleshooting and decision-making skills
  • Ability to modify G code programs
  • Intermediate knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Knowledge of shop math, including geometry and conversions
  • Manufacturing and product knowledge
  • Proven troubleshooting, decision-making skills, and teamwork abilities
