CNC Operator I - Entry-US

Responsibilities
- Operates automated machines like CNC or other equipment to manufacture company products.
- Sets up complex, customized production equipment to ensure efficient manufacturing.
- Manufactures sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production costs to meet market demand.
- Fulfills tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, turning, milling, and stamping using conventional and CNC manufacturing equipment.
- Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing.
- Sets up and operates machine tools such as mill-turns, mills, lathes, or grinders.
- Aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.
- Reads and sets up blueprints to ensure work meets quality control standards.
- Moves materials as needed to complete assignments.
- Inspects machined products using precision gaging to ensure external and internal quality specifications.
- Set up and perform a series of machining operations on CNC machines.
- Selects proper cutters, determines feeds and speeds as needed, and replaces cutters when they become dull.
- May operate two or more CNC machines simultaneously.
Requirements
- High School Degree
- 1-3 years experience in machine operation
- Automated/CNC work experience required
Qualifications
- Basic troubleshooting and decision-making skills
- Ability to modify G code programs
- Intermediate knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Knowledge of shop math, including geometry and conversions
- Proven troubleshooting, decision-making skills, and teamwork abilities
