The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment 1 year minimum; CNC experience is preferred.
- Can read and follow detailed blueprints and work order instructions.
- Pays strong attention to detail and produces high-quality work consistently.
- Must be able to stand (95%) and walk (5%); may bend, pull, push, twist, or turn as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs (10% of the time).
What You’ll Do
- Read and understand detailed work order instructions and blueprints.
- Set up the cycle time on the CNC machine at the start of the shift.
- MATCH work orders to provided tanks and load information into the monitor.
- Manually load aluminum material into the CNC machine and operate it.
- Monitor the machine regularly to ensure proper operation and quality.
- Attach helical coils to tanks if required.
- De-burr tanks after CNC cutting.
- Label and document finished tanks.
- FILL carts with finished tanks and move them to storage safely.
- Meet production quotas set by Lead or Supervisor.
- Report any issues immediately to the supervisor or appropriate personnel.
- Follow all AKG EMS policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand (95%) and walk (5%); may bend, pull, push, twist, or turn as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (30% of the time).
- Must use PPE such as steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
