CNC Operator - 2nd Shift MC

About the Role

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a CNC Operator for our Mount Carroll, Illinois manufacturing facility. In this role, you will operate CNC equipment, inspect components for quality, make basic adjustments, and support safe, reliable production.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to produce components according to specifications.
• Inspect completed parts to confirm they meet quality requirements.
• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and make necessary adjustments.
• Read and interpret blueprints and use basic measuring instruments.
• Complete required documents accurately and maintain production records.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Follow established safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow and interpret verbal and written work instructions.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Ability to use basic measuring instruments.
• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and drive assigned tasks to completion.
• Ability to communicate effectively and build positive working relationships with team members and internal customers.
• Demonstrated steady work history with minimal employment gaps.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous industrial manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role is performed on-site in a manufacturing environment and involves regular work with CNC machinery and basic measuring instruments. Employees must follow applicable safety, environmental, and quality procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S standards. The physical requirements described represent those needed to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay

$16-$19/hour, depending on experience, plus a $2/hour shift differential.

Schedule

2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
