CNC Operator (2nd Shift)

This position is for 2nd shift only.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality fasteners
- Set up and calibrate machines according to specifications
- Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related problems
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Perform other duties as needed or required
Work Environment
- The primary work environment is the production floor; secondary work environment is the office
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through the entire shift
- Ability to be aware of surroundings for safety concerns
- While performing duties of this job, the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time; occasional stooping and walking will be required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience operating CNC machines
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
