CNC Milling Machine Lead-Day Shift-Experienced

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading production in the CNC Milling area and communicating with leads on other shifts.
• Responsible for managing daily priorities, assigning work to those in the department to maintain optimal flow.
• Prioritize work based upon product and resources.
• Participate in daily production and GEMBA meetings to maintain constant communication of scheduled work.
• Maintains CNC Machinist productivity to ensure correct machining processes are used and department activities are consistent with manufacturing objectives.
• Plans and coordinates workflow with other departments and scheduling function.
• Supports company policies working with direct reports and collaborates with the Leadership Team to resolve issues/concerns.
• Interviews and evaluates applicants for vacant positions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in a machining environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2-year previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Contract Manufacturing experience highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work in a fast past work environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of ERP system and Microsoft office suite.
• Ability to read blueprints, use micrometers, calipers, and other QA gauges.
• Ability to set up and operate machine tools.
• Ability to program machine tools.
