CNC Mill Setup Operator - 3rd Shift

About the role

We are seeking a CNC Machinist Mill Setup Operator to operate and set up milling machines for precision gear manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements.
• Mount workpieces securely and install preset tooling.
• Start machines, verify dimensional accuracy, and adjust parameters as needed.
• Monitor tools during production and ensure machined parts meet specifications using measurement gauges.
• Perform quality checks, document measurements, and conduct SPC as required.
• Complete daily safety and quality check sheets, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain a clean work area.

Qualifications

• Stable work history, mechanical aptitude, good attendance, and punctuality.
• Intermediate reading, writing, arithmetic, and computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or a 2-year degree preferred.

Schedule

This role requires the ability to work a night shift with additional shift differential and includes opportunities for growth and training.
