About the role

Read routings and blueprints to determine the proper set-up procedure to be used. Operate large machines and fine-tune speeds and feeds to achieve required finishes and tolerances. Set up work pieces on the table using an overhead crane. Load pre-set tooling into tool chains and make necessary adjustments to complete machining operations. Verify completion of machining using precision measuring instruments. Work with supervision and engineering to correct drawing errors that affect quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Operate large CNC milling machines and fine-tune speeds and feeds
• Set up work pieces on the table using an overhead crane
• Load pre-set tooling into tool chains
• Make necessary adjustments to complete machining operations
• Verify machining completion using precision measuring instruments
• Collaborate with supervision and engineering to correct drawing errors

Requirements

• 3+ years of machining experience
• Ability to read routings and blueprints
• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Experience operating large CNC milling machines
• Ability to fine-tune speeds and feeds
• Set-up experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs daily and potentially 100 lbs weekly
