CNC Machinist Weekend shift

About the role

Leidos is seeking a talented CNC Machinist to join our Mechanical Manufacturing team in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will have experience in programming, setup, and operation of a variety of machine tools including CNC Mills and CNC Lathes. This role works on different projects in an ever-changing, rapid-paced R&D environment with little or no assistance.

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings and CAD models to produce unique precision parts.
• Manufacture complex aerospace components from exotic materials, such as Titanium (experience is a plus).
• Operate 5-axis and/or mill-turn machines (experience is a plus).

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of precision machining experience on CNC Mills & CNC Lathes.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 35+ pounds unassisted.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work overtime when required.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess or meet eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Schedule

Full-time, 3-day weekend shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 12-hour shifts (5:30 AM – 6:00 PM).

Preferred Qualifications

• 5-axis machining experience with Fanuc or Siemens 840D controls.
• 2 years of 2D & 3D experience with a CAM software tool.
• Experience machining in a prototype environment.

Pay

Pay Range: $57,850.00 - $104,575.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
