Job Summary
Making precision metal products on CNC turning centers. Qualified to operate Twin Spindle / Twin Turret machines manufactured by Eurotech and Mori Seiki. Machining metallic and nonmetallic workpieces for the Aerospace Industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret process plans, and blueprints to determine necessary machining, dimensional specifications, and operating requirements
- Utilizes various types of inspection instruments to check work per print
- Completes necessary job-related paperwork to include part identification, inspection documents, and production log
- Performs basic equipment maintenance: proper coolant levels, filters, fan operation, cleans machine, etc.
Education and Experience
- 2 Years - Setup and Operating Twin Spindle / Twin Turret
- 2 Years - Precision CNC Machining
- Experience with Fanuc Controls
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
Physical Job Requirements
- Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift, 8 hours
- Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend
- Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycles work
- Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Strong work ethic: Willing to work overtime to meet tight deadlines as needed
- Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned
- Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately in noisy environments. Must also have close, distance, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus and judge depth
- Color vision is required as well
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Compensation
$26-30 per hour
