About the Role
The CNC Machinist II operates and sets up CNC machines to produce precise machined parts while adhering to quality, safety, and documentation standards. This role involves complex machining tasks on various metals, equipment maintenance, and ensuring product quality through measurements and inspections. The position requires following GMP/GDP practices, supporting continuous improvement, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
Responsibilities
- Operate, set up, and adjust CNC machines for production within specified tolerances
- Perform routine maintenance and hand finishing as needed
- Ensure quality by measuring and inspecting parts, recording activities, and supporting continuous improvement
- Follow safety protocols and maintain 5S standards
- Escalate issues when necessary
- Perform other tasks or projects as assigned to meet production goals
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience
- Ability to operate, set up, and maintain CNC machines
- Experience running multiple machines and interpreting engineering drawings
- Strong math, communication, and computer skills
- Attention to detail, safety-conscious, reliable, and a team player
Qualifications
Preferred: Associate's degree or apprenticeship in Tooling & Machining.
Physical Requirements
The role requires standing, walking, lifting, and vision capabilities in a manufacturing environment. Emphasis is placed on safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.
