About the role
This position is scheduled on 2nd shift and includes a 15% shift differential on top of the base rate.
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up machines within the department.
- Inspect parts and document results of inspections on in-process inspection plans.
- Continuously monitor equipment and tooling.
- In the event of a breakdown or other event that would disrupt the process, notify department manager to resolve the problem.
- Follow the instructions on the setup sheet, drawings, and/or programs.
- Assist with training of new team members and operators.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Adhere to company safety requirements.
- Assure that assigned activities are performed in accordance with Seabrook Quality System procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 3–5 years related experience
Skills
- Proficient with one or more of the following CNC machines: EDM RAM, EDM Wire, Lathe, Mill, Mill-Turn, Swiss
- Experienced in use of caliper, micrometer, optical comparator, and height gage for dimensional inspection
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to contribute to a team-oriented environment
Physical Demands
- Light to moderate physical exertion required
- Lifting/carrying maximum weight: 50 lbs
- Regularly required to stand, reach, and move about the facility
