Position Summary
The CNC Machinist II operates and sets up CNC machines to produce precision machined parts, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Responsibilities include performing complex machining tasks with close tolerances, changing tooling, making minor adjustments, and conducting routine maintenance. The role requires following GMP/GDP practices, documenting activities accurately, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The machinist maintains a clean work area, escalates issues, and performs hand finishing as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma or GED
- 3+ years CNC machining experience
- Preferred: Associate's degree or Tooling & Machining certification
- Ability to operate, set up, and maintain multiple CNC machines
- Strong math, measurement, and record-keeping skills
- Effective planning, organization, and communication abilities
- Commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork
Additional Requirements
- Standing, walking, using hands, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Good vision and physical dexterity necessary
- No travel required
