CNC Machinist III
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathes, mills, and VTL machines to produce high-precision components
- Set up machines, load fixtures, change inserts, touch off tools, and run pre-written CNC programs
- Modify basic G-code as needed to support machining operations
- Load and unload parts, deburr components, and monitor machine cycles
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to verify conformance to specifications
- Maintain production records, count cards, and documentation
- Perform routine maintenance and fluid level checks on assigned machines
- Support finishing, polishing, and additional machining cell activities as required
- Work closely with quality teams to resolve issues and maintain product standards
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all safety, quality, regulatory, and materials-handling procedures
- Promote a strong safety culture and comply with PPE requirements
Required Skills / Education
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degree or higher in Machining, Manufacturing, or a technical field preferred
- Experience machining complex, high-precision parts in metal and plastic
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
- Working knowledge of CNC equipment and manual machines
- CAM programming experience preferred
- Basic computer proficiency
- Knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance
