CNC Machinist II

About the role

We are seeking a CNC Machinist II to join our Machining Division in Fridley, Minnesota. This role is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating numerically controlled machine tools, performing a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive workpieces to ensure close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications.

This position is for 2nd shift only: Mon–Thurs 4:30pm–3am and Fri 2:30pm–11pm. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is eligible for this role.

Responsibilities

• Work from programming instructions, operational data, and machine set-up instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations, and console settings.
• Check parts for conformance to specifications.
• Operate more than one machine unit simultaneously as required.
• Apply broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC operational procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).
• 3 years of related experience (required).
• Ability to perform metric conversions (required).
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings (required).
• Reliable attendance (required).
• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school (preferred).
• 4 or more years of related experience (preferred).

Pay

The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $30.24 to $40.32 per hour. The exact rate may be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education. Second-shift employees are eligible for a 20% shift differential on top of base pay.

• Strength Level Rating: Medium work. Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
