CNC Machinist II

About the role

The CNC Machinist II is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating numerically controlled machine tools. This role involves performing a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive workpieces, ensuring close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications.

Due to ITAR and U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) are eligible for employment. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas.

A $2,000 sign-on bonus is eligible for this role.

Responsibilities

• Work from programming instructions, operational data, and machine set-up instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations, and console settings.
• Check parts for conformance to specifications.
• Operators may be required to run more than one unit simultaneously.
• Requires a broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC operational procedures.
• Reliable attendance is required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).
• 3 years of related experience (required).
• Ability to perform metric conversions (required).
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings (required).
• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school (preferred).
• 4 or more years of related experience (preferred).

Pay

The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $30.24 to $40.50 per hour. The exact rate may be based on a combination of factors, including knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
