About the role
Flowserve is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist II to join the Center of Excellence Manufacturing Center. In this role, you will set up, operate, troubleshoot, and support continuous improvement of advanced CNC machining equipment used to manufacture Flowserve components for sites across the Americas. This position supports a next-generation manufacturing environment built around CNC automation, precision machining, standardized processes, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machining equipment, including the DMG MORI NTX 3000 multitasking machine.
- Produce components to blueprint, routing, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, depth gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Review CNC programs and machining sequences to identify obvious errors, inefficiencies, unsafe conditions, or opportunities for improvement before and during production.
Requirements
- Strong machining fundamentals and a working knowledge of GD&T.
- Ability to evaluate CNC programs for safe and logical operation.
- Proactive approach to maintaining clear, effective standard operating procedures.
