About the Role

The CNC Machinist II will be responsible for set up and operations of CNC Mill machines used in Manufacturing and Fabrication of aircraft/military components.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up Vertical, Horizontal, 5 axis Mills/Lathes under minimal supervision such as: Mazak, DMG Mori, Okuma, and OKK
  • Have a good understanding of fixturing and tooling and be capable of performing setups independently
  • Must be able to work from complex Blueprints and manufacturing sketches
  • Uses a variety of measuring instruments in production to ensure parts are meeting Blueprint requirements
  • Responsible for the quality of their product
  • Responsible for meeting established cycle times
  • Performs routine daily maintenance and housekeeping duties
  • Utilize ERP system to accurately record labor hours and production quantity
  • Suggests recommendations to Supervisor or Leads concerning process improvements, program edits and corrections needed to reduce set up times as well as improve cycle times
  • Understand Understanding of lean and 6S concepts
  • Follow Safety and FOD procedures

Requirements

  • Able to speak/read/write English
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Wear PPE at all times (Safety Shoes and Safety Glasses)
  • Have 3 - 5 years experience in a machining environment
  • Have a Highschool Diploma or G.E.D Equivalent
  • Experience using Mazak, DMG Mori, Okuma, and OKK machines
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office software, i.e., Outlook, MS Teams, Excel, etc. is required
  • Experience operating CNC Mills and/or Lathes is acceptable
  • Experience reading and understanding complex Blueprints

Skills
