CNC Machinist II - 2nd Shift
About the role
Cadrex is searching for a CNC Machinist II to join our manufacturing operations. This role plays a pivotal role in our production processes by efficiently operating and maintaining CNC machinery.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines to produce components, monitoring machining processes, and making real-time adjustments as needed for optimal performance
- Conduct thorough quality inspections using precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to verify part dimensions and quality
- Make necessary tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments based on production requirements and engineering specifications
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and tool changes
- Identify and report any machine malfunctions or maintenance needs
- Troubleshoot machine issues and quality problems, implementing corrective actions as required to maintain production flow and quality standards
- Follow strict safety protocols, ensuring the safety of yourself and your colleagues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Accurately document production records, including part counts, machine logs, and quality control data
- Collaborate effectively with the production team, CNC programmers, and engineers to optimize machining processes and achieve production targets
Requirements
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years’ experience
- Produce a high-quality product according to required specifications on a consistent basis
- Produce the required quantity of product according to required output specifications
- Understand the machine operation process and the movement of completed components
- Use computers as required
- Use measuring tools as required
- Read and understand Blueprints
- Complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely
- Operate all hand tools, machines and equipment successfully as required and with minimal supervision
- Work as a productive team member who contributes to the organizations’ success
- Handle fast-paced work
- Demonstrate the ability to take initiative to see tasks that are needed and complete them without being instructed to do so by supervisors or lead personnel
- Demonstrate dependability with good attendance
Qualifications
- Highschool Diploma
- 2-year technical certification or equivalent experience
Skills
- Understanding of machine operation process and the movement of completed components
- Use of computers and measuring tools
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Completion of necessary paperwork
- Operation of hand tools, machines, and equipment
