CNC Machinist (Grinding/Creepfeed) - 1st Shift

About the role

This position requires 3+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC machinery, particularly in an aerospace environment. Surface grinding experience is preferred, along with knowledge of FANUC or CNC controls. Exceptional mechanical ability and strong mathematical skills are essential. Familiarity with exotic metals like Inconel and Rene is also required.

Responsibilities

• Perform set-ups and operations of jobs, ensuring parts conform to specifications and requirements.
• Made necessary modifications or adjustments based on standard and geometric tolerances.
• Read and understand blueprints and work instructions/operations sheets.
• Verify dimensions using various measuring instruments such as micrometers, depth gages, height gages, and verniers.
• Become familiar with Lean practices, 6S, and contribute to a continuous improvement environment.
• Meet customer production scheduling requirements.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

• A good attitude and willingness to learn new trades or skills are valued.

Skills

• Knowledge of CNC machinery and controls.
• Surface grinding experience.
• Familiarity with Lean practices and 6S principles.
• Strong mechanical and mathematical abilities.
