Principle Duties And Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a wide range of machine tools to produce machined components and finished fittings.
- Work with various machine tools (lathe, mill, multi-spindle) and produce parts to specified tolerances and finishes.
- Edit programs via "dry-run" simulation and make necessary offset adjustments before production.
- Read and interpret work orders, select appropriate work centers, and identify required tooling and programs.
- Install and obtain proper tooling such as jaws, chucks, faceplates, arbors, centers, and cutting tools.
- Use gauges and precision measurement instruments (CMM, calipers, micrometers) to inspect machined parts.
- Complete statistical process control reports and assist in manufacturing engineering process improvements.
- Inspect machined parts and report any issues with tooling or materials.
- Read and understand basic manufacturing mechanical blueprints and possess sufficient shop math skills.
Required EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years of machining experience
- CNC Mills and Lathes CNC machine setup experience
- Preferred Technical degree or relevant certification
- Mori Seiki, Hitachi Seiki, Okuma, Fanuc, G&M Code
