CNC Machinist (evening shift)

Essential Functions

• Setup and operate assigned CNC Bridge Mill.
• Perform all functions of a “CNC Trainee” listed on the Skill Chart.
• Program CNC designs into cut instructions.
• Load parts to process.
• Preform jig layout changeovers.
• Set tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculate requirements, including basic math.
• Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, fixtures, bore gauges and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts produced to meet tolerance requirements.
• Write and maintain inspection and programming logs and manuals.
• Reduce setup time and machining through process improvements.
• Provide constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department.
• Utilize and abide by ISO requirements and safety procedures.
• Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
• Communicate thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, to co-workers and management.

Non-essential Functions

• Supporting MFG Engineering department to process and implement machining production flow processes.
• Capable and willing of performing all essential functions of a “CNC Trainee.”

Pay and Schedule

Pay Range: $20 - $24 per hour (including a $2.00 shift premium) depending on work experience.
Pay frequency is weekly.
SHIFT: Monday to Thursday 3:00 PM to 1:45 AM
ENVIRONMENT: Climate controlled all year/ Low decibel levels
WORKING CONDITIONS: Lifting: Average Weight: 25 lb. Frequency: Daily
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes, vapors, or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
